This year, Wizkid has promised fans a lot of new music, including a joint EP with Wande Coal and his third studio album. Just a week ago, we reported that he and R2Bees teased yet another collaboration together, and we were very excited about this.
Now, they have released the song, "Supa", and it came a lot sooner than we were expecting. Given that this is the only one of the promised songs he's actually given us, we won't complain, we'll just dance because it's a jam!
It's no secret that Wizkid and R2bees have great synergy, as we've seen on previous collaborations, "Dance", "Slow Down" and "Tonight". Given this track record, we really had no doubt about whether this new collaboration would be fire, and they certainly delivered.
Solidly produced by Killmatic, "Supa" is an energetic and infectious love song.. Their last collaboration, "Tonight" is certainly a hard act to follow, and while "Supa" doesn't quite rise to the heights of that masterpiece, we can't deny that it still bangs.
Wizkid has had a great year musically, and all the features he's killed — from Olamide's "Kana" to Skepta's "Energy" — are a testament to that. We're definitely excited to hear more from him, and we hope he actually drops his album real soon.
